Door-to-door Service

Prior to your move an S & K 2000, Inc. representative will visit your home to survey the effects to be moved and assess your individual needs with you.

On the day of the move the same contact (who will personally oversee your move) will contact or visit you to ensure everything goes smoothly.

All moves are then carefully monitored door-to-door by our staff.

After delivery we will contact you (wherever you are in the world) by telephone to check that you are absolutely satisfied with our overall service.

In the event of an insurance claim, S & K 2000 will settle any claim "in-house". As we have a vested interest in your satisfaction we have found that this additional service is of great benefit to our customers.

Packing

One of the most critical aspects of an overseas move is the packing. At S & K 2000, we choose our packing staff and the quality of the materials with infinite care. As specialists in international moving, all of our packing teams are fully trained and fully experienced in the delicate art of moving your valuable possessions.

All packing takes place in your home using only the best available materials. When our packers arrive the foreman will introduce himself and take a short tour of the home with you, to identify any particular items requiring special care and to agree with you on a schedule of packing that meets your needs, such as packing the beds last.

All of the materials that we utilize are specifically designed to protect your goods while in transit. For example, all furniture is wrapped in special Kraft bubble-wrap. An additional layer of double-wall cardboard will protect the surface of the furniture.

We have a wide range of cartons available ranging from book, china, lampshade, mattress, lay-down or stand-up wardrobe boxes, to specially designed tri-wall cartons for valuables such as mirrors and paintings.

Any items requiring special care such as antiques, pianos or paintings will be packed in wooden crates measured precisely to fit and protect the individual items.

Each carton and piece of furniture is then individually labeled, and a full packing inventory will be compiled.

Storage

S & K 2000 is pleased to offer you safe, secure storage facilities for your goods, either while in transit or long-term for those items you wish to leave at home.

We offer our clients storage in specially designed storage vaults. Also, we have a racking system for sofas, carpets, ladders and other large items.

Our facility is protected by a security system and is climate-controlled.

Delivery
